Floor Maintenance Technician

Responsible for specialized care of flooring in large facility including but not limited to cleaning, waxing, stripping, buffing, vacuuming, mopping, and testing
Responsible for scheduled maintenance of ESD (electrostatic discharge) flooring
Ensures assigned equipment is in proper working order and available for use, informing Director when supplies, maintenance or repair is needed
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and service
Ability to address or anticipate potential floor care needs, informing Director
Is familiar with and follows all safety standards throughout facility
Participates on emergency preparedness planning team when necessary
May handle other general, cleaning or maintenance duties that arise
Verbal and written communication skills
Able to utilize Microsoft Office Suite or related software necessary to create and maintain reports and logs
Must understand basic operation of a computer in order to received and send emails
Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout facilities
Must be able to lift up to 25+ pounds at times
Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl (sometimes in confined spaces) to maintain equipment and buildings
Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions
At least 3 years of related experience in floor cleaning required
ESD floor experience is a plus
Position Type, Schedule, and Travel
This is a full-time position. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, starting between 9 p.m. - 5 a.m. Occasional weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Overtime is optional.
