We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced Maintenance Technician to join our growing Facilities team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing advanced upkeep and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, air compressors, pumps, motors, and electrical systems—while mentoring junior technicians. The technician conducts daily inspections, leverages the building control system, and performs preventative and corrective maintenance, requiring 3–5 years of experience, proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office, and the physical ability to work in varied conditions

- Facilities Central Plant maintenance and repair
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals to perform required maintenance.
- Operation of various powered hand tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
- Performs advanced Air Handler maintenance including belt replacement, filter changes, lubricate and/or replace shaft bearings and motor replacement.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of air compressors.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of pumps and motors.
- Understands basic operation of Liquid Nitrogen system.
- Performs advanced troubleshooting of facilities equipment issues and makes required adjustment/repair.
- Performs daily inspection of mechanical spaces and related facilities equipment.
- Advanced knowledge of closed loop chiller / cooling tower systems.
- Utilizes the Building Control System to troubleshoot HVAC issues.
- Understanding of VFD drive operation.
- Advanced understanding of closed loop boiler system.
- Basic understanding of water treatment system and performing chemistry checks.
- Assists with preparation of application for required environmental permits.
- Electrician/ Electrical Support
- Advanced understanding of three phase and single-phase A/C 110 -460v electricity.
- Advanced troubleshooting of electrical problems (A/C-D/C-low voltage control signals).
- Assists with installing electrical wiring in conduit from Breaker panel to service location.
- Performs wiring of electric motors.
- Ability to use multimeter (volt, current, ohm).
- Replacement of light bulbs and ballasts.
- General
- Performs office furniture/equipment moves as needed.
- Maintains physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment.
- Familiar with and follows all safety standards throughout the facility
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with use of computers for email, internet, and other software programs such as Microsoft Office and other related software programs.
- Experience using a CMMS or Work Order program.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience
- At least 3-5 years of related experience required; applicable education desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout facilities.
- Must be able to lift up to 25+ pounds at times.
- Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl (sometimes in confined spaces) to maintain equipment and buildings.
- Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions.
