Reporting & Supervisory Responsibility

  • Reports to Production Supervisor
  • This position does periodically have Supervisory responsibility, when the Production Supervisor is unavailable

Key Job Elements

  • Conduct meetings with assemblers and operations personnel concerning key manufacturing metrics: safety, quality, productivity and delivery targets
  • Report issues that may jeopardize on-time delivery and performance to standard lead time to your Supervisor and Collaboration Team
  • Ensure scrap material disposition & rework labor in the department is accurately completed and documented
  • Read and understand all policies, procedures, and work instructions associated with the assigned cells/lines.
  • Actively participate in collaboration team activities, lead the team on issues pertaining to production, periodically lead team meetings
  • Actively monitor the output of the work-cells for any quality issues, participate in 8D process
  • Monitor/coordinate upkeep of the overall cleanliness/orderliness of the manufacturing area
  • Ensure efficiency targets and results are understood by the team
  • Periodically fill in for assemblers and/or the Supervisor in their absence
  • Monitor and coordinate 6S program and support safety efforts to create/maintain a safe work environment
  • Enforce 4-step training program



  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Secondary education preferred
  • Be able to read, write and speak English fluently


  • Two years minimum manufacturing experience
  • Experience in leading a team preferred
  • Ability to perform basic math including use of calculators
  • Experience with using a computer and or ability to learn basic usage of Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing documentation such as prints, JOCs, BOMs, routing, and work instructions with minimal assistance

Position Type, Schedule and Travel

This is a full-time position with business hours from 7:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as work orders demand. No travel required.
