We are looking for an experience Product Quality Manager to join our growing team.  This position reports to the Director of Automation and Quality and has supervisory responsibility of Quality Engineers.
Key Job Elements
 
  • Customer Element
    • Drive Customer Satisfaction through rapid response and corrective action to issues – high level communicator
    • Continually improve warranty analysis and read across corrective actions to operations and/or engineering as applicable
    • Develop and manage customer scorecards for customers that do not provide a standard scorecard
    • Deep dive analysis of customer issues through advanced data analytics and Cross Functional Team collaboration
  • Internal Element
    • Heavy focus on RTF (RTY) and EOL inspection as indicators of risk
    • Drive improvement in EOL inspection
    • Develop and champion collaborative, trusting relationships with internal stake holders to harness product knowledge to drive overall improvement
  • General
    • Own internal and Customer PPAP
    • Facilitate all FMEA processes (DFMEA & PFMEA) challenging the cross functional team to ask all the hard questions, incorporating lessons learned from manufacturing and customer feedback into design
    • Lead Root Cause Analysis teams
    • Periodic reporting of KPIs with action plans to address poor performance
    • Mentor & coach Quality Engineering team in world class core tool implementation (APQP, 8D, DMAIC, PDCA, DOE, NCR) and personal development
    • Change management: advertise and advocate positive, constructive change within the organization to drive quality improvement
Education
  • B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, B.S.E.T. Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience
  • A minimum of 10 years of mixed-volume manufacturing
  • Prefer Six Sigma training or certification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of FMEA, PPAP, MSA, Fault Tree Analysis, DVT (Design Verification Testing), Product Return Rate Analysis, FRACAS (Failure Reporting Analysis, and Corrective Active System) and Root Cause Failure Analysis is required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders including global customers, design/production engineering, and manufacturing teams
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience supporting ISO, TS, CSA, and/or UL certification audit activities

This is a full-time position. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
National and International travel may be required from time to time to support business needs
