The Warehouse Receiving Associate is responsible for managing incoming shipments, verifying inventory accuracy, and ensuring efficient and organized warehouse operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory integrity, supporting logistics flow, and upholding quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving
    • Review purchase orders and verify incoming shipments against order details, including quantities, items, and delivery schedules.
    • Verify delivery documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL) and packing slips.
    • Properly identify, label, and package inbound inventory, including printing labels or travelers as required.
    • Accurately assign and update inventory locations in the system (e.g., FIFO practices when applicable)
    • Assist with unloading shipments and moving inventory to designated warehouse locations.
    • Provide high levels of internal and external customer service.
  • Quality Validation
    • Inspect shipments for damage, discrepancies, or missing items, document, and report issues per company procedures.
    • Quarantine and log non-conforming materials according to quality procedures.
    • Maintain discrepancy logs and initiate freight claims when necessary.
    • Support QA processes, including logging materials requiring inspection.
  • Warehouse Preparation
    • Coordinate dock space and assist with scheduling incoming deliveries to ensure efficient unloading.
    • Prepare receiving areas by clearing space and ensuring equipment (pallet jacks, scanners, etc.) is ready.
    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications:
  • Previous warehouse or receiving experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and documentation processes is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
